Let's try this again!

So... I created this blog during a training where I got paid to create a blog and a facebook account. I've been pretty good about the facebook account, but I haven't looked at this blog since. Now that my sister has her blog for her adventures in Alaska, I decided that it wouldn't be too difficult to give this a try.

This summer is flying by. Andrew has a million activities that are keeping us busy. Soccer and baseball are over for now, but June was crazy! He loves any kind of sports and seems to have a little bit of talent -- Lord knows where he got it from, Bill and I certainly don't have much ;-)

Andrew really loves soccer and seems to be where the ball is at all times -- Even if he is the smallest kid on the field (actually #5 is smaller than him, but Andrew is much more aggressive).

He was very proud of his trophy and medal for soccer. It is on our mantle where he shows it off to everyone who comes to our house.

When the baseball season first started, I thought it was going to be his last. His team was a mess. They were more interested in playing in the grass or digging in the dirt than they were in catching the balls. He had a few kids that had some natural talent on the team, but many of them were there just because their parents had signed them up. It turned out that the team came together and got much better. During Andrew's last game, he got two hits, made a double play, and threw the ball to first for another out. I guess I'll have to sign him up for soccer and baseball again next year. Oh-well he's worth it!

I orginally put Andrew in gymnastics because I wanted to improve his balance and coordination on the soccer field. He loves it and it gives him the opportunity to bounce out some of his energy -- if only I could bottle it ;-)

These pictures were taken at their end of the year celebration. As you can see -- he's not the only boy in the class -- even Bill has come around saying that it won't make him into a fairy! This next year he will be in a class with all boys. The coach is awesome and he is very excited to be in her class.

Well -- hopefully I'll get better about updating this blog.
