Tooth Fairy

The days continue to fly by -- I'll be back to school before I know it (or want to be).

Andrew lost his first tooth this week. He pulled it out all by himself when he was at Vacation Bible School on Monday. He was so proud of himself as he exclaimed - I didn't cry or anything mom! He has a second tooth that will be coming out soon. They are both on the bottom in the middle.

The tooth fairy came and brought him a dollar and two quarters. He was impressed -- I guess he hasn't talked to the boy down the street that got $10. We just had to go shopping for something to spend his money on... His store of choice was Target.

As we wandered up and down the aisles, he couldn't find anything he wanted. That was until we got to the video game aisle. Then of course he wanted a Wii. Daddy has been saying how we need to get a Wii, but luckily every store mommy goes to doesn't have any. My luck ran out... Target had a ton of them this week. Apparently it was in the add and they had gotten very large shipments to every store. So... Andrew spent his dollar fifty on a Wii -- the cheap tooth fairy had to make up for the rest!

So far he has fallen over backwards and knocked over a tv tray with a package of batteries and a bowl of salsa mommy had been snacking on while golfing (batteries and carpeting covered with salsa is not a pretty sight). Then as he was boxing, he got a little too close to the tv and began hitting his opponent on tv. He's very good about wearing the wrist strap -- which is a good thing since he doesn't always have the best grip on his controller.

He's already been grounded from the Wii for a bit. I told him that as soon as he cleans his room, he can play it again. So far his room is not cleaned, but he has picked it up a little ;-)
